Desire To Live A Long Life

Everyone wishes to live for a long time in this wonderful world and many people want to live forever, which is not possible. The day you turn 50 is going to be your second birth; after that, you may live 30, 40, 60 years more depending upon your lifestyle management and the genes you received from your ancestors. We can increase the longevity of our life to some extent by keeping a steady weight, eating moderately, and remaining active and happy throughout life. We can be successful to some extent by following the precautions as given below.

  1. Always maintain optimal weight and avoid being overweight and underweight. Steady weight plays an important role to increase the longevity of life.

    1. Regular exercise results in a strong grip and good muscle tone. Thirty minutes walking 6 days a week keeps you healthy. Other alternatives are dancing, tennis, badminton, uphill hiking, swimming, gym, house cleaning, gardening, mowing the lawn and shoveling snow, etc.

  2. Avoid excessive use of sugar and salt and also avoid fried foods and canned foods. Use preferably seasonal fruits and vegetables.

  3. Regular medical checks keep you aware of cholesterol, sugar, thyroid, cancer, blood pressure, hemoglobin, liver function, and kidney function, etc. It is easy and possible to control diseases at their early stage.

  4. After fifty, arthritis, diabetes, arteriosclerosis, cancer, and asthma are common problems but these diseases may happen in the early stage.

  5. Consult your family doctor before you take any medicine. Every cell needs cholesterol to survive and it forms a critical part of cell membranes. 67% cholesterol is manufactured by the liver and not absorbed through food.

  6. Refrain from smoking, alcoholism, drugs, fake people, and a sedentary lifestyle. Avoid and control anxiety, worry, greed, anger, and fear, etc.

  7. After 50, be independent in your choices, and after retirement, be your own boss and don’t allow anyone to control you but you must be greatly adaptable according to situations.

  8. Always be optimistic and have a sense of humor and respond to simple pleasures.

  9. Never feel old but feel mature and want to live 100 years, want to remain healthy, want to remain alert and clear-headed, want to remain active, and want to achieve wisdom.

  10. Prioritize your happiness by hanging out with your friends and entertaining yourself with music, support, television, radio, or anything you like.

  11. Get enough sleep, avoid risk, and live your life leisurely.

  12. Take necessary steps timely so that you can get more income in old age than middle age to support yourself and help needy persons which will give you great support and satisfaction.
